Sample preservation buffer – syringe with 3.5 mL

The Sample preservation buffer is supplied in a 5 mL syringe pre-fileld with 3.5 mL of a specially forumalted preservation buffer designed to maintain the integrity of environmental DNA (eDNA) collected using the eDNA Dual Filter capsule. This product is always included in the Complete eDNA sampling set (SYL009) but is also available for purchase separately.

Optional: internal positive control DNA (IPC-DNA)

The Sample Preservation Buffer is also available with a low concentration of xenobiotic DNA (SYL018-1) that serves as an internal positive control. This control is used in combination with our Envionmental DNA isolation kits (SYL002-20-133, SYL002-50-133, and SYL002-100-133) to verify sample preservation and DNA extraction efficiency.


Efficient lysis & preservation

The Sample Preservation Buffer is adapted from a CTAB-based lysis buffer and is optimized for both cell lysis and long-term DNA preservation, even at room temperature.
