eDNA sampling kits and equipment

On this page you will find our complete range of sampling materials and equipment for the collection of environmental DNA (eDNA) from water, soil and sediment. At the core of our system is the eDNA Dual Filter Capsule, which is designed for efficient on-site filtration of large volumes of water while minimizing the risk of cross-contamination. Its enclosed dual membrane design provides a large filtration surface and allows samples to be preserverd and lysed directly inside the capsule after filtration.

The eDNA Dual Filter is available separately (SYL010), togehter with valves that enables continuous sub-sampling (SYL013), or as part of our Complete eDNA sampling set (SYL009), which contains all the materials needed for straightforward field sampling and sample preservation and lysis. Dual Filter capsules with different pore sizes and preservation buffer are also available. For convenient sampling from the shoreline or other difficult-to-reach-locations, the system can be combined with our eDNA sampling rod.

All Sylphium sampling materials are designed for efficient and contamination-free eDNA sampling and each component is validated for use in eDNA workflows and complies with CEN/TC 230 – Water Analysis – N 1229 standards.
