Environmental DNA isolation kit with IPC – 50 isolates

The eDNA Isolation Kit (SYL002) is designed for the rapid and efficient isolation of environmental DNA (eDNA) from water, faeces, soil, and other environmental samples . This kit ensures a high yield of high-quality DNA suitable for both qualitative and quantitative PCR applications. The entire isolation procedure takes approximately 2 hours, after which the purified DNA is dissolved in TE buffer and is ready immediately for downstream analysis.

This kit is perfectly suited for extracting and isolating eDNA from samples collected and preserved with the eDNA Dual Filter capsule (SYL009) and is fully compatible with the associated Sylphium sampling products. Optional: Internal Positive Control (IPC) quantification kit

All Sylphium sampling sets contain an Internal Positive Control (IPC) in the preservation solution. The IPC consists of a synthetic xenobiotic DNA fragment that does not naturally occur in aquatic environments and therefore does not interfere with the detection of target organisms.The IPC can be used to assess the efficiency of the DNA isolation procedure and to evaluate the quality and purity of the resulting DNA extract. The corresponding IPC quantification kit is available as an optional component of the Environmental DNA isolation kit or can be purchased separately. The IPC is quantified using the FAM channel.
